We believe your meeting notes, recordings, and personal data belong to you — and should stay on your device.

2. Our Core Privacy Principle

aira is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. All core features — recording, transcription, speaker diarization, summarization, and semantic search — are processed entirely on your iPhone using on-device AI models. No audio, transcripts, notes, or summaries are sent to our servers or any third-party service for core functionality.

This is privacy through architecture, not just policy. We don’t have access to your content because it never leaves your phone.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

To be clear about what we never access:

• Meeting recordings and audio files
• Transcripts and speaker-identified text
• AI-generated summaries and action items
• Notes and written content
• Semantic search queries and results
• Questions asked through Ask aira

All of the above are processed and stored locally on your device. We have no technical ability to access this data.

4. Information We May Collect

4.1 App Store Information

When you download aira from the Apple App Store, Apple may share limited information with us as part of their standard developer tools, such as download counts and crash reports. This is governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

4.2 Anonymous Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve the app experience. This may include:

• App opens and session duration (no content data)
• Feature usage frequency (e.g., how often recording is used, not what was recorded)
• Device model and iOS version (for compatibility)
• App version
• Crash reports and error logs (no user content)

This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to your identity or your content.

4.3 Communications

If you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you provide in your message, including your email address and the content of your communication.

The limited information we collect is used to:

Your notes, recordings, transcripts, and summaries are stored locally on your iPhone using encrypted local storage. The security of this data is protected by iOS’s built-in device encryption and your device passcode or biometric authentication.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Your On-Device Data

You have full control over your on-device data at all times. You can view, edit, export, or delete any notes, recordings, or transcripts directly within the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

8.2 Data Portability

You can export your notes and data from the app at any time. Your data is yours, and we believe you should always be able to take it with you.

9. Data Backup

Because aira stores data locally, your notes are included in your standard iOS device backups (iCloud or local backups via Finder/iTunes). The backup and encryption of these backups is governed by Apple’s backup policies and your device settings.

10. Children’s Privacy

aira is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Users

Because aira processes data on your device, your content does not cross international borders through our services. The limited anonymous analytics data we collect may be processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer for analytics data only.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
